All About Crystal:
Hello, My name is Crystal Carlson and I have been a Licensed Realtor in Charleston for 27 years. I was born in Charleston. My mothers family came here in the mid 1800's from Ireland and Germany. My father was a Navy officer and Naval Academy room mate of Jimmy Carter's. We traveled through my youth with the Navy and I came back as a young adult. I received a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design and got a Legal Secretary Degree. I later became a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist (no longer practice in the field). I have been a full time professional Realtor since 1979. I have the distinction of having sold more condominiums in the Charleston area than any other individual agent as I often did site sales for condo developers and builders. I also invest in real estate and renovated about 40 homes including a historic restoration. Over the years I have specialized in forclosures and investment properties and have investors who own up to 30 properties each now. I presently have 6 rentals. I am knowledgeable and very experienced with upper end properties especially downtown, waterfront and beach properties. I am interested in traveling and have a vacation home in southern Costa Rica and especially love to visit Italy and any tropical destination. My passions are snorkeling, swimming and reading (when I have a spare minute). I enjoy working with glass art and painting and particularly passionate about photography. I love to be active and walk an hour or more daily with my Dachsund, Oliver. I love boating, the beach, hiking and the outdoors. I love to cook, especially Mexican and Italian food. I give to many charities including my time at Crisis Ministries and with the seriously mentally ill and the elderly. I love my work, am a problem solver from the get go and have closed over 800 homes during my career. I have one adult son.
